Trump Says No Sanctions Relief for Iran Until Final Agreement Is Reached
Speaking to reporters at Joint Base Andrews, Trump rejected the idea of early sanctions relief, stating that any economic easing would only come after a completed agreement.
"I'm not doing any relief until they sign an agreement. When they sign an agreement, we can get that place built up again and have something that's really a good country for the people, but no, we haven't offered anything."
He also suggested that negotiations are nearing completion but indicated he is not rushing the process, saying discussions are in their “final stages.”
"I just wonder whether or not they have the good of the people, because some of the things they're doing, to me, means they don't have the good of the people, and they have to have the good of the people. There's a lot of anger now in Iran, because people are living so badly."
According to reports, diplomatic contacts involving regional actors continue in parallel. Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi recently arrived in Tehran for his second visit within a week, where he met Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni.
State media reported that Pakistan has been playing a mediating role in broader diplomatic efforts linked to the conflict involving the United States and Iran, as regional channels attempt to facilitate communication between the parties.
