Trump uses small stairs to board Air Force One due to security measures
The heightened precautions were introduced after Secret Service agents on Friday discovered what appeared to be a hunting stand positioned with a “clear line of sight” toward the area where the president’s aircraft is typically stationed.
FBI Director Kash Patel said federal investigators are leading the probe into the incident. He confirmed that “no individuals were located at the scene,” but that evidence teams were deployed to collect material and review nearby cellphone data.
Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said agents came across the structure during “advance security preparations” ahead of Trump’s arrival, stressing that “no individuals were present or involved at the location.”
“While we are not able to provide details about the specific items or their intent, this incident underscores the importance of our layered security measures,” Guglielmi added.
The FBI and Secret Service are continuing a joint investigation in cooperation with local authorities in Palm Beach County.
